It has been recently revealed in a recent report that three people have succumbed to the Legionnaires disease and it was apparently due to the infection they caught in a Calpe Spanish resort.
The name of the three people has not been revealed though it has been said that they were all elderly and were aged between 73 and 78 years. It was further a deed that they were among the 20 people who had unfortunately got this infection from the Diamond Beach Hotel they were enjoying their vacations in.
There has been the outbreak of the disease in the hotel, and this has resulted in the death of the three people. It was added by the regional government of Valencia that it was on the 26th of January that the first death had occurred. On the Thursday, the last death took place at the Clinical Benidorm hospital. The three people who died were from Britain.
There is need for a thorough investigation to be done to determine the cause of the outbreak and need for something to be done to eradicate it. It is essential because it’s a tourist destination, and the infection might mean many more deaths or carrying the infection to different parts of the world in the long run.
It is essential that it is tackled here and now, otherwise it could mean huge losses for the tourism of the country, as well as for the safety and security of the people on holiday.
"With the closure we have a guarantee that there will be no more contagion and we can then evaluate the measures taken with the rigour required by the situation”, said a spokesperson for Saga. It is essential that people with the slightest flu-like symptoms report it to the doctor and get it checked as this is not a time where any sort of health risks can be afforded.
