It has been recently revealed in a company in Minnesota has had to recall as many as 1 million contaminated eggs. The name of the company is Michael foods and it was recently revealed by a spokesperson that they had to call back as many as 1 million hard cooked eggs that had been distributed in about 34 states, due to the listeria contamination in them.
The spokeswoman Diane Sparish was of the view that as many as 15000 pails of eggs, hat were distributed for institutional use, have been recalled owing to this infection in them. It was further revealed by the U. S. Food and Drug Administration that these eggs, which turned out to be infected, were made in the Wakefield plant of the firm, and they hadn't been distributed to any manufacturers or food distributors till now. It was further said that there haven't been any illness cases reported due to the same, as the error was spotted soon, and the corrective measures are being taken as well.
The states in which these infected eggs were circulated are Minnesota; Oregon; South Carolina, North Dakota; Alabama and Illinois besides others. The listeria bug is immensely infective had has the potential to causing problems such as diarrhea, ache in the muscles, stiffness in the neck, convulsions as well as loss of balance.
It's been fortunate that the problem was discovered soon, and the corrective steps were taken as well, otherwise it could've meant the outbreak of the listeria in so many states, which would've been really difficult to control later. It was further added that the situation is under control for now, and there is no reason to worry for the common people.
