Yuvraj Singh, the left-handed Indian middle order batsman who is going through chemotherapy in America for getting rid of a cancerous tumor, has used Twitter to express his love and gratitude for his fans back home, and has assured them of making a superfine comeback. Well, he sure will and it will be something in the likes of what he did in his earlier comeback after a long injury to the ICC World Cup in which he played a leading role in making India the world champion.
In the tournament, Yuvraj displayed unmatched brilliance both with the bat and the ball and was therefore awarded as the player of the tournament.
The stylish southpaw Twitted for the first time from the time the news of his match against cancer made news.
In his recent Tweet, Yuvraj said: “I will fight and come back as a stronger man cause I have the prayers of my nation! Thank you to the media for their support and respecting my privacy”.
Yuvraj informed his fans that he is on the road to recovery and added that he is purely overwhelmed by the support and love shown by the countrymen. He said that he is full of hopes that the prayers of so many Indians will indeed cure him soon and he is full of eagerness to get back in Indian colors, with the Indian cap, the India team.
The 30-year-old has been in America since the last month and reports have claimed that he is going through chemotherapy at the Boston-based Cancer Research Institute. However, prayers and wished are cascading from all over the world to support him in the hour of need.
In the meantime, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released a statement in this regard, saying that the board is right behing Yuvraj and wished him a quick recovery.
