In a recent report, it has been revealed that MP Dr. Sarah Wollaston recently is of the view that there is need for the government to take measures for regulating the prices of alcohol in such a way that it isn’t dirt cheap any more. This will surely help in decreasing the levels of boozing in people, and will also help in cutting down the effects of the same in the long run.
There is need for a campaign to be launched so that the prices of alcohol can be regulated. This will decrease the buying capacity of people, and they shall automatically consume less alcohol. There is dire need for the binge drinking addiction of the people to be controlled. There are actually no limits to drinking when one starts once, and this is why more and more people are falling of the wagon, of the limited drinking train!
People need to understand that drinking in excess can seem to have devastating effects on their bodies and minds. They are not only destroying their liver and kidneys and heading for health failures, but they might tend to become addicted, moody and depressed in the time to come as well. There are so many people dying across the world, because they are binge drinkers. One should understand how precious life is, and how it shouldn’t be wasted in things like drinking alcohol.
The crux is that the awareness programs or the endless campaigns aren’t doing any good, because drinkers aren’t interested in listening. Once the pricing of alcohol is tampered with and it is made expensive, and the availability is decreased, they will have no option but to limit their supplies of booze, and stop binging on it.
