The first group was given a diet low in carb but it had 300 calorie on the whole, while the second group was provided with a completely balanced breakfast having 600 calories, including a chocolate cake dessert.
While explaining the significance of the findings, the lead author of the study, Prof. Jakubowicz, claimed: “But the group that consumed a bigger breakfast, including dessert, experienced few if any cravings for these foods later in the day”.
