Age UK Organizes Bobble Day to Boost Funds for Oldies

Age-UKA new report reveals that Bobble Day is being organized in the Age UK Northamptonshire on Friday, February 10, as part of Age UK’s Spread the Warmth campaign. The bobble day has been planned to encourage national fundraising for helping the old aged during cold.

It has been revealed through the report that Northamptonshire is failing to accomplish the mission of Age UK’s Spread the Warmth campaign to help in keeping elderly people well and warm during winter. Thus, bobble day, which is a national fundraising event, has been planned by the campaign on Friday, in which everyone has been invited.

The report has found that people have been urged to wear woolen clothes and bobbles on that day so as to encourage fundraising for the campaign. This is in order to help Charity as well as local and national partners to provide practical services to people in their later life.

The Age UK’s Spread the Warmth campaign aims at providing information to older people and gives them advices too. It is said that the funds provided to Charity and other partners help in providing nutritious meals to older people and warm clothes. Also, they advise them throughout the year how to keep well and help them in keeping their homes warm and cozy.

It has been told by the Fundraising Director Paul Farthing at Age UK, that nearly 200 people die each year due to severe cold in winter. And there is a great need to cheer help for such people so as to protect them from such condition. “February is often one of the coldest months of the year and many older people will be suffering. By getting involved in Bobble Day you can help us change this”, she added.
