As per recent reports, it has been revealed that Reddit, a social news website, has announced that they are going to ban all the content in their website which is linked to child pornography.

The site officials told that for a long time they have been noticing that their website has become an easy target for some mischievous people to post pictures and content which is more or less focused on sexual abuse of children. They do not want to end themselves in a legal trap, so it is a conscious decision to ban all the explicit material.

Moreover, they have been receiving a lot of complaints from their users who do not like to see and read such content and have requested to take an action. "We have changed our policy because interpreting the vague and debated legal guidelines on a case by case basis have become a massive distraction and risks Reddit being pulled in to legal quagmire", said site authorities.

It is not the first time when they have done such thing, as some time back they banned one of their pages known as Jailbart. Users are saying that it is well planned move of site officials to bring back the content of Jailbart.

Jailbart was banned by the officials when they saw personal pictures of a 14-year-old girl on the page. Officials told that that time they did not consider the views of their users, but they took the decision straightaway.

Authorities concerned told that people might be thinking that they are taking away their freedom from them. But, they stressed that there is a difference between exercising freedom and taking its undue advantage. Some might even stop posting content on the website, but they said nobody is going to take off their content if it meets ethical grounds.
