A family dog pounced upon two girls and their grandmother at their Fairfield home in the south-west of Sydney.
After the report was made, Police and paramedics arrived at the Nelson Street home, at about 4:45pm (AEDT). They were taken to Fairfield Hospital after being treated at the very place where the accident occurred. The 10-year old girl has been given treatment for a probable broken arm and scratch bite marks.
The other two have also been treated for cuts and bite marks. The dog is put inside the family home until a dog catcher arrives to take it away, the Police said.
The Police and the local council will think mutually whether the dog should be put down or not.
