One more case of harassment of the New Zealand customer by the Telecom's Philippines based call centre staff has been revealed. Already, four staff members have been accused of harassing over abusive texts. The telecommunications giant has suspended four of its Philippines based call centre workers on Friday, after five Telecom customers received offensive text messages.
Paula McMeekan is the victim of harassment. 15 prank calls in just an-hour were ringing on her phone. She claimed that as soon as she disconnected the short phone conversation with a Telecom call centre worker, in Manila, prank calls started.
"I rung telecom and asked them to search the number. They confirmed to me that these 15 phone calls had come from Manila and from Telecom", said McMeekan.
Johnathan, one of the victims wants a personally issued formal apology from one of Telecom's top brass and the culprit. He could switch to Vodafone without a meaningful apology.
