Global Warming: A Big Threat

A Big ThreatMany signs of great climate change have been shown by the Earth. It means global warming is really occurring. The average temperatures have risen 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit worldwide since 1880, and the rate of warmth is still rising, according to NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies. Last two decades were the hottest decades in the last 400 years.

Humans are the major cause of global warming. Industrialization, deforestation, and pollution have greatly increased the carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide. Carbon dioxide is poured into the environment much faster than the plants and oceans can absorb it, which results in the rise of temperatures. Global warming will not stop right now even if we try because it's a huge problem. Sea level is already rising and some animals have moved to new homes by now.

Scientists believe that burning of fossil fuels causes global warming.

By using fluorescent light bulbs, turning off the lights when they are not required, turning off the computer or television when not using it, and planting trees, one can help in reducing global warming.
