In a latest report, New Zealand Transport Agency has revealed that country's new car registrations rose for a second consecutive month in June, rising 8.2 percent over the month before to 4306.
The latest figures were down 36.2 percent, as compared to figures of last year.
Further, the government agency reported that used car registrations (generally imported used cars) rose 3.7 percent to 5406 from the previous month.
However, the figures were 23.3 percent below a year ago data. The new commercial vehicle registrations during the month were 1784, up 38 percent from May but 36.8 percent lower on a year earlier.
The top selling make for the month was Toyota with 781 new cars, a gain of 27 percent on June, followed by Ford with 399, and Hyundai with 396.
