Part-Time Working Mothers Tend to have Healthier children

A study has shown that mothers working part-time raise healthier children than those who stay at home or work full time.
The study was conducted on more than 4500 Australian children. The study found that the children of mothers, who work part-time, eat less junk food, watch less TV and are not obese. Mothers working full-time have less healthy children.
The reason why stay-at-home mothers tend to have less healthy children has not fully understood, and closer check of household dynamics is required.
"When mothers work part-time, there's obviously something about the way the house is run, and the way parents are looking after their children that is protective”, said Professor Jan Nicholson, Principal Research Fellow at Melbourne's Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
Mother-of-two, Louisa Curtain revealed that every moment was special which the mothers spent with her children.
According to the researchers from the University of New England in NWS, mothers working part-time are more conscientious on the days they are able to look after their kids.
