Sleepless nights are one of the most common problems being faced by new parents. They often remain confused that whether they should instantly go their babies when they cry in night or should let the baby to learn the practice of self soothe.
This inner conflict made many mothers to suffer from depression and frustration. For a long time, there was no answer with experts as well as with parents. However, now a study being published in the journal Pediatrics seems to have found the solution of the same.
The study has concluded that it’s fine to let the child cry at the time he tries to fall asleep. In order to reach at the above given result, the study researchers from Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, Melbourne carried out a study on 225 babies.
The babies, who were being assessed, were aged between seven months and six year. One of the main things in order to evaluate them was to see the training level of parent when it comes to sleep intervention techniques.
"[P]arents can feel confident using, and health professionals can feel confident offering, behavioral techniques such as controlled comforting and camping out for managing infant sleep”, said study researchers.
