Haiti earthquake victims continue to get support from Calgarians as they offer help and support to the victims.
About 10,000 care packages that are designed to keep Haiti families clean for about 30 days are being put together by the volunteers, many with the Calgary Haitian community.
Bettina Pierre-Gilles who has her relatives in Haiti said, "It's tough, really tough, especially when all of those people have lost their homes and they're trying to get by."
Samaritan's Purse and Walmart are getting together to put efforts for getting hygiene products for those in need.
The care packages contain daily care and essential things like toothpaste, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, laundry soap, dishwashing detergent, and feminine hygiene products.
Everyone who wants to offer help is being approached by Samaritan's Purse for collecting donations.
One hygiene kit would cost thirty dollars and a personal note can be attached with the box for the family who will receive it.
You can log on to samaritanspurse. ca. if you wish to offer help by organizing the kit or donate.
