In yet another instance of brutally killing Indians in Australia, Gurshan Singh Channa's body was found in Melbourne in mysterious conditions on Thursday.
In the investigation launched following the child's death, the Australian police claimed that a key lead has been found which can direct investigation. Police is therefore searching for a green VR or VT Holden Commodore that was last seen around the area where the body of the deceased was found.
Homicide squad detectives are being reported to be searching for more evidences regarding this case as they intend to talk to everybody who saw that car. It has also been said that the parents of the toddler are being questioned regarding the investigation.
After six hour, body of Gurshan was found near Oaklands Junction, when he was found missing from the Lalor rental property which his parents along with friends and family shared. No results or arrests have yet been achieved by the Police while the body of the dead awaits cremation in a city morgue.
The authorities say that parents will have to wait for two-three more days to get the body as toxicology tests are yet to conclude the cause of death.
Parents of the deceased Harpreet Kaur Channa and Harjit Singh Channa will be assisted by community leaders and Federation of Indian Association of Victoria (FIAV) which assures to provide the mourning family with USD 6000 to USD 7000 for taking the body to their hometown Punjab in India as the parents want the cremation there.
