A visit to Canberra was made by South Australian Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond with health policy on her mind.
Showing keenness in meeting up with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, she stated that full briefing on the Federal Government's hospital funding plan was what she wanted at the moment and what does the plan hold for South Australians.
According to Redmond a meeting at the Parliament House will take place but she could not state if the Prime Minister will be present at the meeting.
She stated that the meeting was being organized but because of Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono being in the town today Prime Ministers presence was in question.
She said that people who putting the proposal should be present.
The Liberal leader wanted a detailed report of the federal plan for hospitals.
She added that a briefing should have been offered to them by the Federal Government and added, "No such briefing was offered and I want the people of South Australia to know that, when things like that happen, not only will I expect a briefing I'll be on the first plane to make sure it happens."
According to the Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott says Rudd was acting unilaterally on the hospitals plan.
He added that Rudd was engaging in unnecessary arguments with people which in turn was neglecting the basic courtesies of a Westminster system.
