Doctors working at Haiti have stated that a lot needs to be done at Haiti.
Dr Christian said, "There's always more to do in places like Haiti." He is working as a critical care doctor at Toronto. Dr Christian worked at a Canadian Forces field hospital for 18 hours a day for five and a half weeks. He arrived back in Toronto March 4.
On January 15, he was told to go to Haiti. Christian has posts with both Mount Sinai Hospital and the Canadian Forces Health Services Group.
He stated, "These patients had medications, but had lost them when their houses collapsed. There were no pharmacies any more, and where we were in Leogane a number of physicians had died."
While narrating his Haiti experiences the doctor said that he saw more than 300 patients every day there but a decline in the number of patients was seen by the first week of March. According to the doctor, it was tough to leave Haiti, as a lot needs to be done for people there. "It is one of the things we struggle with when we go to places like this and have to leave. There is more to do there. But at the same time I realize there is more to do in lots of places around the world." He also added that he felt lucky that he was at Toronto because "Compared to a place like Haiti, you realize how lucky and privileged we are to have what we do have."
