Most iPad users would use the device for Web Browsing and checking emailsA recent ComScore survey has revealed that a majority of the potential customers of the forthcoming Apple iPad tablet computer intend using the device for browsing the Web and checking e-mails; while very few of the 2,176 survey-participants, between 25-34 years, showed an inclination for using it for downloading apps and playing intense video games like first-person shooters.

As per the ComScore statistics, nearly 50 percent of "Internet users" surveyed - not necessarily only those who had pre-ordered the iPad - would likely use the iPad for accessing the Internet; while 48 percent would check emails on the device.

The survey also found that 38 percent respondents intend using the iPad for listening to music; 37 percent would likely read books on it; 35 percent would use it for storing and viewing photos; and 34 percent for reading a newspaper or magazine.

Furthermore, some respondents of the survey showed hardly any interest in the iPad - there apparent lack of interest in the device largely resulting from the fact that none of the iPad's features appears appealing to them.

Nonetheless, some of the `interesting' findings of the ComScore survey were: 43 percent respondents complained about the lack of multitasking feature in the iPad; 68 percent said they would prefer paying for news and magazines specially formatted for e-readers; and 49 percent liked the name `iPad', while 24 percent disliked it.
