Speculations about features Apple may include in iPhone OS 4.0

appleWith Apple scheduled to give the world a sneak peek at its next-generation iPhone operating system – the iPhone OS 4.0 – on April 8, there are expectations galore about the features that Apple would likely introduced in the upgraded version of the OS.

Though the ever-so-reticent Apple has refrained from making any disclosure about the features that its forthcoming OS will boast, rumors about the new iPhone OS’ third-party multitasking capability have been making fervent rounds. In addition, it is also being speculated that the forthcoming iPhone OS will deliver support for ‘Flash.’

Going by the consumer opinions and the noticeable issues with the existing iPhone software, there is little doubt that Apple will introduce the next iteration of the iPhone as a major upgrade.

Some of the notable features that appear notably on the ‘wish list’ pertaining to the iPhone OS 4.0 – other than the obvious, much-looked-forward-to ones like third-party multitasking and ‘Flash’ support include: social networking, advertising, and music streaming integration.

In addition, a few other features that most iPhone users probably expect Apple to introduce in the iPhone OS 4.0 are: tethering capability; improved enterprise support; organization of apps; support for native printing; syncing over Wi-Fi; and more efficient navigation.
