It has been revealed by Mobile start-up 2degrees that on next Wednesday, 5th August, it will come out with its mobile phone network.
Initially known as NZ Communications and later Econet Wireless, 2degrees, has spent the past eight years making efforts to develop and roll out a national network, to break Telecom and Vodafone's mobile duopoly.
The company said that New Zealanders will be given the opportunity to grab the ultimate cellphone number with the launch of new mobile network 2degrees next month.
It should be noted that 2degress mulls to sell its cellphones, plans and SIM cards through petrol stations, supermarkets and other retailers. The company, which is focusing on the prepay market, will launch its full range of services, prices and handsets at a media briefing next Tuesday.
