From the reports it has been seen that the concerns are raised by the number of countries including India on the false virus alert by the World Health Organizations in correlation with the H1N1 virus. A special board of experts would be looking into the matter in its meeting from April 12 to 14.
In the meeting points would be covered like, how well the world was prepared for the future health crisis and how the WHO would react to the latest pandemic situation. To evaluate WHO’s activities, the panel would make its own plans. Some complaints are also expected by countries that did not get the proper supply of vaccines against the pandemic flu.
These concerns have been expressed by a number of countries including India. To the member countries, WHO has written about the issue and offered to make an independent review.
A few months back, Indian Health Secretary, Sujatha Rao said in an Executive Board meeting of WHO in Geneva, that these type of news reports were having an effect on the public health measures being commenced by the countries.
