iPad's e-reader is for sure, revolutionary in all aspects.
E-books have never been such before, as the books on the iPad are electronic without losing their essential bookness. Amazon. com launched Kindle which has non-reflective screen, which makes it easy to read in sunlight in addition to huge selection of e-books for sale as well as download. Moreover, it’s very handy.
On the other hand, the full-color iPad screen is almost twice as big as the Kindle's. Both help readers to customize font size, but there will always be more words on the iPad page.
E-books are not physical books but on a Kindle they aren't even standardized in terms of pages. In it each screen of text is called a "location”, and if the user is reading a 300-page novel, he will have thousands of them, making it really hard to keep track of where he or she has left reading.
On the other hand, iPad sticks with the more conventional designation. It also points to the number of pages left in whatever chapter is on the screen. Though, Kindle is made for reading, it seemed to have lost an essential connection to books.
