Yesterday, it was seen that the internet service provider iiNet announced its partnership with FetchTV. iiNet said that it would provide subscribers with unmetered free to air and a subscription TV at the monthly rent of $30.
iiNet is the Australia's third largest company and it deals with Malaysia based FetchTV to offer users with pay per HD movie plan. Customers can also pay per channel like Discovery, National Geographic, MTV and Fox International.
"iiNet and FetchTV are set to change the face of Australian television forever. FetchTV allows people to easily tailor their viewing experience, making it the perfect transition into the world of digital TV", said iiNet Chief Executive Officer, Michael Malone.
ISP calls market would also be included in the package which gives 3D TV capability, inbuilt single and multiplayer 3D games and social networking web applications.
It was told by FetchTV chief executive, Scott Lorson that a large part of Australia's market is appropriate for this IPTV service. Last week similar kind of plan was launched by LG Electronics and BigPond Movies. It was told by the company that trials of New IPTV service would start next month and this service would be available for the customers soon after.
