Infinity Ward is “dead”; however, talent still ‘alive’Revealing that the situation at the once great Infinity Ward studio is pretty grim, an ‘insider’ told Kotaku, that the studio – the way people have known it all along - is virtually “dead.”

The insider also added that the studio will continue to “crumble” further, with more veterans planning to take the exit route.

Noting that Activision is aware of the forbidding scenario at Infinity Ward, and is improving the pay scales to retain workers, the ‘insider’ said: “They fired the two most amazing leaders we’ve ever seen, and then shafted us all out of a lot of money that was promised to us... there is nothing they can do to gain our trust or respect. And I'm pretty sure they know it now.”

However, giving a ray of hope to the dismal situation, another Infinity Ward ‘insider’ told Kotaku that though the picture at the studio was far from rosy, it still has two kinds of employees left – those who will continue for money; and those who are bent upon making something work.

This insider said that a Monday meeting at the studio is a clear indication that “we are not dead; we definitely lost original team members, but not all of the talent. We still have the talent that will get us to where we need to go, and now is the time to find our new leaders.”
