Close on the heels of Gizmodo's `iPhone 4G' scoop, rival Engadget has come up with a matching act - reporting that `accidentally' leaked slides show Dell's three new enticing smartphones - namely, Dell Thunder, Dell Lightning, and Dell Flash!
Two out of these three Dell smartphones - Lightning and Flash - are especially eye-catching, given the fact that they take advantage of two high profile operating systems. While Lightning runs Windows Phone 7 operating system
- thus being the first production handset of Microsoft's new OS; Flash runs the yet-to-be-released Android Froyo.
While the candy-bar style `Thunder' handset and the slider `Lightning' phone will both feature a 4.1-inch (WVGA) OLED display; the Flash - which dell claims has an :innovative design with unique curved glass" - will feature a
3.5-inch WVGA screen.
Specifically speaking, Thunder features an 8-megapixel digital camera, HSDPA support (AT&T), and probably an integrated mobile Hulu app; while Lightning boasts 1GHz (QSD8250) Snapdragon processor, an autofocus
5-meagpixel camera, 512MB of RAM, HSDPA 7.2Mbps 3G connectivity (AT&T and T-Mobile); and all the Windows Phone 7 hardware features including GPS and accelerometer.
Meanwhile, the key features of Dell Flash include an 800MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM / 512MB ROM, Bluetooth 3.0, and TV-out.
