Featuring almost all the elements essential for a `fab' phone - a slick design, speedy HTC Sense user interface, Android OS, attractive AMOLED display, and an exceptional camera -, the forthcoming HTC Droid Incredible is, indeed, a credible handset!
To hit the stores April 29, the HTC Droid Incredible will be available from Verizon Wireless for $200 with a two-year contract. Though the phone is similar to the Google Nexus One in terms of design, it is basically a CDMA version of the February-launched HTC Desire handset.
Complementing the Android 2.1-based Incredible's crisp, responsive and spacious 3.7-inch screen, and its notable 8-megapixel camera, is its strikingly unique styling and its rubberized "topographic" battery cover that gives the phone a `light' feel.
In contrast to the usually-blank back side of most handsets, the Incredible has three mounded layers of matte plastic, likely suggesting a topographical map. With metallic red front speaker and the camera lens' rim, the insides of the phone are cherry-colored, displaying its red battery.
Along with its exhaustive list of striking features, the HTC Droid Incredible also boasts a number of applications - the most prominent among them being HTC's Friend Stream for aggregating the updates of the user's friends to social sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr. Furthermore, another `plus' for the handset is the users' access to the Android Market for downloading free and paid apps.
