Departure run at Infinity Ward “not over yet”; five more employees quit According to Kotaku reports, five more employees of the Infinity Ward studio have quit their jobs; thereby bringing the total number of those having left the company to 18.

The most recent employees to have departed from the studio include - senior designers Mohammad Alavi, Brent McLeod, and Chad Grenier; designer Jason McCord; and programmer Chris Lambert.

Though there has been disclosure about the future plans of the recently-left employees, it has been reported that, at least, seven departures from the studio have found their way into Respawn Entertainment – the Electronics Arts-backed studio of the two ousted Infinity Ward chiefs, Jason West and Vince Zampella.

In a recent statement, Activision acknowledged the likelihood that some more Infinity Ward employees may “probably” leave the studio; and join Respawn. The Infinity Ward social media manager Dan Amrich of the departures: “That's not over yet. More people will probably go too, looking for new situations.”

Meanwhile, noting that competition from the Infinity Ward split will hamper the sales of ‘Call of Duty’ games, industry analyst Michael Patcher said that it is likely that ‘Call of Duty’ games will sell fewer units in the future, vis-à-vis the past numbers, “primarily due to increased competition from Respawn, DICE and EA games that will likely be in the same or similar genres.”
