A common flower can be a ray of hope for millions of cancer patients around the world. It can help save millions of cancer patients according to medical experts. It can be possible by using extract from a white flower generally known as Baby’s Breath.
This extract can help improve the efficiency of cancer treatment drugs considerably. Research has found that molecules known as saponins, which are extracted from the Gypsophila plant can facilitate the process of breaking membranes in cancer cells.
This makes the task of anti-cancer drugs, commonly known as immune toxins much easier to attack the growth of cancerous cells. It helps in boosting the efficiency of cancer treatment many times.
Researchers feel that it is now very important to replicate the same tests done in the laboratory to the treatment of cancer patients. Experts caution this can still take up to five years to be implemented on cancer patients.
This research was undertaken by experts working for Leukemia Busters, a U. K. charity working for cancer research. It was started by David and Bee Flavell, who lost their son Simon at the age of 10 to a rare form of incurable cancer in the year 1990.
