Activision Blizzard and Bungie Studios Team Up Together

Activision Blizzard and Bungie Studios Team Up TogetherActivision Blizzard Incorporation, the Video game maker has signed a 10 year deal with developer of halo video games and has acquired the rights for the distribution of Bungie Studios forthcoming games and its variants.

Though the video game maker has been facing downturn due to its Infinity Ward studio but it has retaliated back by striking the deal with Bungie Studios. The future of Activision was being questioned after various key executives resigned from the studio, the people behind the multibillion-dollar military video game series, Call of Duty. Firing of the two heads of Infinity Ward made it to the news, which slightly weakened the company prospects. Infinity Ward employees has filed a lawsuit against the studios citing unpaid royalties.

BMO Capital Markets analyst Evan Williams said, "We believe this agreement alleviates some of the concern surrounding Activision's publishing business and its increasing dependence on Call of Duty by adding another potentially strong [property] to the portfolio”.

Activision will be playing the role of a financer and will be pouring in funds for the development of games and thereby will receive a percentage of revenue for the contribution.
