American Lung Association Reports Of Poor GradesAmerican Lung Association conducted its 11th annual evaluation of the nation’s air quality and claimed that few north state countries did not acquire good grades.

It was reported that Shasta County got an “F” for the ozone pollution and for particle pollution, acquired a “D”. On the other hand, Tehama County earned an “F” for ozone pollution and none for particle pollution. The report is based on the secondary data gathered between 2006 to 2008.

The air official belonging to Shasta County justifies that many programs will be implemented soon to improve the air quality. He blamed the lightning-sparked wildfires which filled the north state countries as this year’s report also includes the data from the smoked summer.

Siskiyou County acquired an “A” for ozone and none for particle pollution. Eldon Beck, Siskiyou County assistant air pollution control officer said, “Our air quality, at least as far as ozone goes, hasn’t changed for the last 20, 25 years”.

The aim of the report is to take a snapshot of what is being inhaled by the people. Ozone pollution has the potential to cause respiratory issues among the inhalers. Approximately 50 countries were covered in the report.
