In spite of the economic slowdown, a new office in Australia was recently opened by Agile, a renowned Kiwi telecommunications software developer and integrator.
It was after the company won the contract with whitegoods giant Fisher & Paykel and debt recovery services group Baycorp that the latest development appeared. Both of the companies are presently the customers of Agile across the Tasman.
The communication needs of Fisher & Paykel and Baycorp would be managed by Agile, as both customers are prominent users of Avaya's unified communications platform, informed Agile Australia head Peter Dillon.
As of now, Agile is partners with Microsoft, Tandberg, Nice and Avaya.
Mr. Dillon specified that the Agile's existing customer base provided opportunities for grabs in Australia, where customers such as IAG, Fonterra and Vodafone used its services.
He said: "We want to own that trans-Tasman business (opportunities)," adding that Agile wanted to do more consultancy work, and advise customers on how to optimize their call centres.
