Police have seized and accused eight people with manufacturing and providing the drug methamphetamine, or P, south of Auckland.
Yesterday, the detention of five women, aged between 41 and 62, and three men, aged between 27 and 47, came after an incursion at Pukekohe and Hunua premises last month.
After months of inspection, Counties-Manukau Police Organized Crime Unit carried out search warrants on April 16.
Quantities of white powder thought to be methamphetamine in addition to chemicals and gear utilized to produce it were discovered at the addresses.
Cash, weapons and other drug equipment were also unearthed.
Police said that further inquiry into the supposed drug selling activities lead to the arrests.
Detective Inspector, John Tims said, "These arrests should come as a warning to others involved in the manufacture and supply of methamphetamine that it is only a matter of time before police will come knocking at your door".
Making and supplying methamphetamine calls for severe repercussions; this is revealed by the fines being as stern as life term sentence.
Last month, four males were also captured and indicted for the production and supply of P.
The men are; Wayne Vandervan, 49, of Papakura, Robert Lorigan, 52, of Hunua, Eugene Rungarunga, 43 of Papakura, and Victor Lorigan, 51, of Pukekohe.
