Commercial Property Being Used for Manufacturing Drugs

Commercial Property Being Used for Manufacturing DrugsPolice are revealed to caution against Hamilton property owners to be attentive towards what their sites are being used for, following a raid on a rented commercial property in Frankton, which police cite was being used to manufacture drugs.

The chemical haul is posted to be worth between $300,000 and $400,000.

Detective Sergeant Ricky Thompson quoted, "In this case the property owner was cooperative with police and is as much a victim as anyone and likely to face some costs related to the cleaning up of his property".

In addition, he further posted that the chemicals were discovered in a follow-up investigation initiated after a couple's arrest last Monday for manufacturing of drugs charges.

A man and woman are now accused of drug manufacturing charges and further charges could still be laid, he said.

Mr. Thompson is urging property owners to practice vigilance and report some suspicious activity to police so that they do not become victims of crime.

Property owners should seek out for suspicious signs - such as high traffic volumes or expensive security. In addition, police have advised to contact police with concerns.
