Survey: Engineers, Executives Most Difficult to Find

Engineers, Executives Most Difficult to FindThe worldwide economic slump has inflated the positions of job hunters, but that does not imply that employers have had a trouble-free time of securing the talent that they require.

An intercontinental survey released on Thursday points out that constant dearth of talent continues to limp companies' expansion strategies, together with those in Canada.

According to Manpower Canada's fifth talent-dearth study, 31% of employers globally and 21% of employers in Canada are facing difficulties in clinching important skilled ranks.

Adding up to the problem is the mounting want for increasingly particular skill sets, making it even tougher to locate the apt person.

Byrne Luft, Vice-President of Marketing for Manpower Canada, a human-resources consulting, career management and recruitment company says, "We are seeing a 'jobless' recovery in many parts of the world, yet where there are jobs available employers are having difficulty filling positions".

The worldwide study reviewed over 35,000 employers in 36 nations and regions during the first quarter of 2010. There were 1,916 respondents in Canada.

Engineers, executives and sales reps are the people, which are most hard to find.

Manpower Zealand General Manager, Chris Riley says that engineers and sales representatives have remained at the pinnacle of New Zealand's most desired list for five years.
