Queensland Prime Minister, Anna Bligh is planning a meeting with federal Treasurer, Wayne Swan on Friday morning so that she can discuss about the new mining tax administration.
Queensland wishes that federal Government doubles the entrance that explains a super profit.
The federal Government has spoken that it is keen to work with Government and business on the details of its reserve super profits tax.
Ms. Bligh is anticipated to argue for the proceeds threshold prior to the new tax takes off to be increased from almost six per cent to 11 per cent.
That would compete with the present petroleum reserve rent tax, which had applied to fresh offshore oil and gas developments since1987.
The Queensland Government has apprehensions that the new-fangled tax administration could predominantly impact on the hatchling liquefied natural gas business.
