It has rarely been seen that children were asked to make as much noise as they want, whereas youngsters at Holsworthy Childcare Centre on Friday spent most of their time screaming and singing.
It was seen that they came to the centre dressed in their bright and colorful clothes for Loud Shirt Day.
It was informed that the event was a scheme of the National Alliance for the Deaf Kids Talking for encouraging awareness concerning hearing impaired children.
It was noticed that the participants were asked to make a donation and all the money that would be raised would be going to the Shepherd Centre.
It was told by Holsworthy Childcare Centre's operations Director, Kristy Busuttil that some of the children created their own "loud" shirts. They attached stickers, badges and balloons to their shirts.
"There were lots of smiles, singing, party toys and streamers. Children need to be aware of the diversity of the community we live in. We're all different but we all have the right to be treated the same", said Ms. Busuttil.
It was seen that the representatives from the Shepherd Centre visited Holsworthy and explained what it meant to be hearing impaired.
It was noticed that these kids were loud and proud of those who fought back to hear.
