Greene Is the New CEO of Britain’s Royal Mail

Moya-GreeneAccording to the latest reports, Moya Greene has been named as the new CEO of Britain's Royal Mail. Ms. Greene would not only be the first woman to take charge of the profile, however she would also be the first person from outside the British Isles to occupy the position.

Ms. Greene would be replacing Adam Grozier.

Reports suggest that Ms. Greene who was President and Chief Executive of Canada Post would be moving to the United Kingdom to take over her new assignment.

The appointment of Ms. Greene coincides at a time when the British Government plans to partially privatize Royal Mail.

Reports confirm that the newly elected Conservative-Liberal Democratic coalition would seek private capital for Royal Mail while the network of the same would remain public.

In a statement issued by Britain's state-owned postal operator Ms. Greene said, “I am honored to be joining such a great company and to be working with its customers and its people at such a momentous time in its history".

Showing confidence in Greene, Royal Mail Chairman Donald Brydon said he was optimistic that Ms. Greene would bring energy, lucid thinking and a clearer vision for Royal Mail.

He further said that Ms. Greene was well equipped who had a proven leadership track record as well as relevant experience.

Greene's earlier career stints include names like Bombardier and TD Bank.
