Kelkoo, the shopping comparison website, has reported to have surveyed 950 people whether they were considering buying an Apple iPad.
It posted that almost 33 percent claimed to bear interest in buying one; however, 40 per cent said they would be interested to change their traditional laptop for a touch-screen, tablet computer like the iPad.
The iPad, which hit the retail stores yesterday, is hopes to witness a huge boost from gadget fans. = United States recorded a million iPads sale in the first 28 days alone, and analysts Deloitte estimate the tablet computer market to record $2bn per year by 2012.
Bruce Fair, managing director at Kelkoo quoted, "The iPad could certainly turn around the fortunes of the struggling tablet PC market by redefining the category as a premium, multitouch entertainment gadget, and in doing so, pave the way for other manufacturers to follow in its footsteps”.
When asked why they preferred Apple, 34 per cent revealed that it was due to the fact that its products were innovative, 27 per cent posted that they believed Apple developed the best products on the market.
While, 25 percent considered the user friendly feature of Apple's gadgets as it’s most appealing factor, while 15 per cent just find Apple brand as cool.
