A 33-year-old woman has been arrested in relation to an armed robbery at a bank machine, Saturday morning.
At approximately 11:15 a. m., a woman approached the machine at a financial institution in the 3300 block of Fairlight Drive.
A female suspect who was standing at the machine allowed the woman to go ahead, but once the woman was at the machine, the suspect pressed something into her back and stated she had a gun, Saskatoon police said in a news release.
The suspect got away with a small amount of cash. She left the area in a blue pickup truck with a silver stripe.
On Sunday afternoon, the communications special constable who took the initial call about the robbery spotted the suspect and vehicle on the west side of the city. The constable was off duty, but kept the vehicle in view until other officers arrived to make the arrest at 1:40 p. m.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Through further investigation, Saskatoon police said they learned the suspect was also connected to a robbery in the area on May 20.
The woman will appear in court today facing two counts of robbery.
