BP Oil Spill Triggers Speculations on its FutureBP's oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has come out to be the most dreadful in the history of US. It has given way to speculations over the Company's future.

The challenges which BP has been facing in the wake of the oil spill include its financial crisis bagging the burden of the unexpected costs to be compensated in the cleaning up.

Almost all the chief analysts agree that the cost of the devastation will rely on how long the flow of the oil remains out of control.

It has been estimated that the spill will not stop completely until August as the relief well is to be completed by then.

Following the spill, BP's capitals have reduced by around $65 billion because the Deepwater Horizon rig sank on April 22 exploding two days ahead, allowing the oil to leak, in the Gulf of Mexico.

"It's not going to be anything in that ball park", Alex Morris, Oil Analyst at Raymond James in Houston said.

The cost estimations are nearing an amount worth $5.3 billion. However, the estimations made by investment bank Credit Suisse are supposed to run to up to $37 billion.
