Future Wage Rises Might Be Bamboozled By Inflation

salaryIt seems like it is a good time for the shop assistants, hotel workers and cleaners in Australia, as it has been reported that the Rudd Government has made its first decision on the new panel for minimum wage and the announcement coincided perfectly with the morning tea break at about 11 am.

It was announced quite clearly that more than 1.4 million earners of minimum wage are to receive a pay rise of about $26 a week from the beginning of the month of July. Another interesting fact is that the current wage which has been agreed on falls short by just $1 when compared to the demands of the trade unions.

There is also the problem of the inflation which might play a huge role in the wage rise as improvement in the economic condition could also add to the inflation apart from the necessity for employment growth.

It has been made very clear that the wages have to be risen in such a way that it does not threaten the viability of the business or any other factor.
