Telstra and Foxtel Fight With Net TV

Telstra-FoxtelIt has been reported that Foxtel has begun its plans to make its mark into the internet television market which keeps growing by the day and the Company has actually proposed quite a controversial deal which makes it available only to the broadband customers of Telstra.

The Company has asked for approval from the competition regulator. Foxtel has proposed that they would provide the video content through the internet to only those customers who have the broadband connection from Telstra.

The Company has a lot of competition from many areas like Hulu, FetchTv and also Telstra. However, it has been announced that the Company will launch their T – Box set – top units sometime towards the end of the month.

There will also be a lot of confusion among Telstra and Foxtel as both are on the lookout to win people over to use their content with exciting offers and it is also a notable fact that Telstra does own about 50 per cent of Foxtel which makes things even more complicated and controversial.

There have also been comments that this deal was actually anti – competitive making things messed up for all other providers.
