ACP, the leading magazine publisher, has announced that it is terminating the supply of its men’s men's monthly Ralph, adding that the current issue of the magazine is the last in the range.
ACP’s Group publisher, Phil Scott, first shared the decision with the 13 editorial and advertising wings, today afternoon.
This has been done, in view of the gradual decline in the circulation of the magazine. The circulation was reported to have dipped by 4.7%, last year, falling to 63,155, this year, from 66,319 in the last year.
In addition, it suffered a 5% decline in its readership, which fell down to 267,000, this year from 267,000, last year.
ACP told that Ralph wills manage its digital future through its website www. ralph. ninemsn. com. au and mobile. Meanwhile, it announced the girls’ issue of Ralph will continue.
Ninemsn Chief Executive, Joe Pollard said that the page views of the online issue of Ralph women surged by 11% during March.
Scott said that monthly men's market was on the topmost level, with the masthead changing once in 6 months.
“The launch of Zoo as a weekly in 2006 and the subsequent arrival of cross category men's magazines such as Top Gear and Men's Health have steadily eroded the once dominant lads' monthlies”, he said.
