Substantiating the rumors that have been making rounds during the last few months, consumer print publication Game Informer has revealed that the Seattle-based Sucker Punch studio is developing a sequel to the open-world superhero game `inFamous'.
The reviews about the original `inFamous' title, which sold over one million copies, had largely been positive.
Though most of the details related to `inFamous 2' will be disclosed in the Game Informer magazine's July issue, the brief description given on the Game Informer website reveals that the inFamous sequel's action will take place in a new city.
The sits also mentions that the look of the game's key character, Cole McGrath, will be changed; and he will be endowed with brand new powers. The original game featured Cole as a survivor of a downtown blast; who wakes up with electricity-based powers.
In fact, the prospective new look of McGrath had earlier too corroborated the rumors that the `inFamous' sequel was on the cards. In late 2009, actor David Sullivan posted Twitter message - which was removed later - claiming that he was involved in the "re-casting of Cole in the sequel of inFamous."
Though Sullivan posted several posts confirming the `inFamous 2' development - including one that mentions "I'll melt your face" was an example of an in-game dialogue which he said he had recorded -, all the posts currently stand removed.
