Police thinks that family violence might be the reason for the suspicious death of a woman in Victoria's north-west last night.
Police officers say that the 39-year-old woman had suffered serious head damages when she was discovered inside a home in the small town of Koondrook on the Murray River.
A 46-year-old man is being interrogated after he was seized in New South Wales early this morning.
Detective Inspector, Bernie Edwards says that there had been a dispute in the house a little while before the death.
He said, "Unfortunately this family violence related incident was witnessed by the couple's two children so you could imagine the effects on the family".
Bernie said that particularly the children who are engaged, who have seen this and probably other events.
