Adobe has reportedly partners with mobile ad firm GreystripeThe Adobe-Apple scuffle is apparently on the verge of a new, interesting turn, with Adobe having reportedly signed a deal with mobile ad firm Greystripe – thereby attempting to sneak Flash onto Apple’s mobile devices, including iPad.

Since Apple’s penchant for HTML5 is well known, as is the company’s abhorrence of Flash – a fact that is evident from Apple’s recent change in developers’ agreement, whereby it has banned Flash –, the deal between Abode and Greystripe is a significant one; and will evidently bug Apple CEP Steve Jobs no end!

A partnership with Greystripe will help Abode stealthily create Flash-based interactive adverts that output in HTML5.

Incidentally, Greystripe already has Flash popping up in its iPhone and iPad software for display in Apple’s Safari web browser. Greystripe calls this Flash-related feature, which it launched in March this year, as ‘Iflash’ - a name that Adobe might try to rechristen in some way or the other.

Though there has been no official confirmation from Abode about its reported deal with Greystripe, the latter’s CEO Michale Chang said in a statement: “We're committed to making it easy for advertisers to achieve results in mobile by removing barriers to execution and offering the engaging power of Flash-authored creatives on the iPhone and iPad.”
