The re-opening of the main rail line between Rockhampton and Longreach is still indefinite, says the Queensland Rail.
The line has been closed since the coal train ,wrecked next to Duaringa, west of Rockhampton in central Queensland, in early morning yesterday.
The derailment has resulted in obstructed admittance to the Gladstone port for the coal pit by the Blackwater rail structure.
Bus will be the mode of transportation between Rockhampton and Longreach till then.
"A team is out there assessing the safest way to recover the wagons, the coal and the track, so at this point in time they're unable to say when that track will reopen. We would suspect it would be sometime later in the week", says QR National Spokesman, Clay McDonald.
