May Wang Appears in Auckland District Court Today

May Wang, the Chinese business woman handling a purchase deal of Crafar dairy empire, appeared before the Auckland District Court today morning, for the second time this week, as she has been held under the charges of mishandling the accounts in her bankrupt property and the hotel Company, Dynasty Group.

The charges were put upon her by the Ministry of Economic Development between 31, 2005 and May 29, 2008. Being the Director in the hotel, she has been alleged, to have failed in maintaining the accounts properly.

She also, allegedly, failed in notifying the authorities of the expected bankruptcy of the hotel, on time.

District Judge, Gittos, granted her an anticipatory bail until July 15. She will be appearing in the court tomorrow, in front of the creditors in the Dynasty Group to whom she is indebted with an amount worth $22 million.

Westpac had appealed to the court to declare Wang bankrupt, as she owes a sum worth $620,000 to it.

Wang's attorney, Paul Sills, had told media, long back that Wang is planning to pay off the debts through her income from the consultancy work.
