Yesterday afternoon, a body was found in a valley close to Salisbury Quarry at Hillbank. The body was recovered from a remote bush land around 150 meters down a slope. Police have begun their search in the area.
The body had decomposed by the time it was found by two teenagers and Adelaide Now reports that the body was found at around 3 pm.
Today morning, the police and the volunteers of State Emergency Service recovered the body. Detective in Elizabeth Police, Sergeant Kelly Clarke reveals that the death is being regarded as doubtful but it is not being treated as a major crime.
She says that the reason for death is not yet known and also the police are unaware of its identity. She is of the view that the death should be treated with suspicion till the time it is identified.
Sergeant Clarke is optimistic of today's search as she says that it will provide some evidence to the police, which will be helpful in cracking the case.
The cause of the death and the sex of the body will be found out through post mortem.
The Police disclosed that they will also scrutinize the missing person's files after the post mortem results are declared.
The Police have also said that if anyone is aware of any missing person then they should get in touch with Crime Stoppers.
