This week, another Microsoft 'Patch Tuesday' update is due, with five "critical" vulnerabilities to be fixed.
The information regarding the patches was not revealed by Microsoft; however, it did say that they apply to all supported versions of Windows. Furthermore, it also specified that the vulnerabilities could expose users to remote code execution attacks.
In the operating system, hackers develop vulnerabilities; as a result they can control the processes of the computers. The networks of computers compromised in this manner are known as 'botnets'.
Early on Wednesday, the updates would be released following which automatically the users of the Live Update services would be notified; and in order for the updates to be installed they will have to restart the computer.
